In times past, it was traditional to send colorful postcards in celebration of the various holidays. This group of vintage New Year's Day postcards dates from the early 1900's. Many feature various symbols of good luck such as a horse shoe or four-leaf clover. Others feature wintery scenes with mistletoe, holly, or poinsettia. Still others feature flowers which seem somewhat out of season.
