San Antonio, Texas, The Alamo, vintage postcard, photo
A vintage postcard view of The Alamo, located in what is now downtown San Antonio, Texas. The siege of the Alamo began on February 23, 1836 and concluded on March 6, 1836 when the Texans defending the building were overran and killed in the final assault by the Mexican Army. Among those killed were William B. Travis, James Bowie and David Crockett. This postcard view is from about 1910.
