A vintage postcard view of Main Street, Looking East, Carterville, Missouri. A street car can be seen in the distance. Numerous business buildings line both sides of the dirt street. The name Weeks can be seen on the building on the left. This street would later became a portion of the famed highway, Route 66. This postcard is postmarked 1909.

Another vintage postcard view of the Main Street of Carterville, this view is from a little further west. The taller building at the left is the same building marked Weeks on the previous postcard. The building just before the Weeks building is marked Hotel Garland. This postcard is postmarked 1911.
