Seattle, Washington, Second Avenue and Marion Street, historic photo
An historic photo of Second Avenue and Marion Street, Seattle, Washington. Note that the stores are tent like structures which had only recently been erected. Just one month earlier, on June 6, 1889, a 25 block area including all of the central business district was destroyed in what became known as The Great Seattle Fire. The dirt street in this view has street car tracks with a street car toward the end of the view at the right.
This photo was taken in July, 1889 and published in 1912 by McManus.
