Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker were Killed Here Monument, Bienville Parish, Louisiana, photo

Monument on Louisiana State Highway 154 south of Gibsland, Louisiana in Bienville Parish marking the location where Bonnie & Clyde (Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow) were killed in an ambush by five law enforcement officers from Texas and Louisiana. A total of about 130 shots were fired, with the report by the coroner stating 17 shots had struck Clyde Barrow and 26 shots had struck Bonnie Parker.

The duo and other gang members were wanted on more than 100 felony warrants including numerous murder charges, robberies, and for kidnapping primarily across the region of Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas plus several other states. The marker reads: "This site May 23, 1934 Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker were killed by law enforcement officials." "Erected by Bienville Parish Police Jury." The monument was significantly larger originally but has been reduced in size due to the numerous chips removed by those seeking souvenirs. Numerous bullet marks also have chipped the surface of the monument. See the additional monument below.
