A historic photo view of a dust storm rolling into Baca County, Colorado. Dust storms such as this devastated the farm lands of many western states during the Depression Era of the 1930's. The term "Dust Bowl" was commonly applied to the region. Much of the land was left unable to be farmed and led many to migrate out of the region. This photo is from 1936 and by D. L. Kernodle.
