The grave or crypt of Darla Jean Hood known as Darla in the Our Gang comedy series, also known as The Little Rascals. Hood was born November 8, 1931 at Leedley, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Elizabeth (Davner) Hood. At the age of four, she began playing the character of Darla and served as the "love" interest of several of the boys within the gang. She continued in this role for the next five years, from 1935 to 1941. The Our Gang series featured a continually changing cast of characters; as the children grew older they were replaced by younger children to maintain a continual grouping of young children.

After leaving the cast of Our Gang, Hood made appearances in a few movies and on several television shows. Her final film role was in 1959 in The Bat, at the age of eighteen. During the 1960's and 1970's, Hood focused on her talents as a singer and made several recordings as well as numerous live performances.

On June 13, 1979, Darla Jean Hood died in North Hollywood, California from heart failure caused by a hepatitus tainted blood transfusion during appendectomy surgery. She was 47 years old. Her remains are held within a crypt in the Abbey of the Psalms, Sanctuary of Light Mausoleum, Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Los Angeles, California.
