A vintage advertisement for the Elvis Is Back! record album released in 1960. This was the tenth studio album of Elvis Presley recordings and was his first after being discharged from the U. S. Army. Presley served from March 1958 to March 1960 in the Third Armored Division in Germany. Immediately after his discharge from the service on March 5, 1960, work began on this studio album. The album consists of twelve songs that were recorded between March 20 and April 4. The finished album was released on April 8, 1960. While none of the twelve songs on the album became well known standards, the album was nonetheless a personal favorite for Elvis. This was the first Presley album to be released in a stereo version. This vintage ad was published in 1960.
