J. B. AYRES, foreman of finishing department National Rolling-mill, McKeesport, is a native of Philadelphia, where he was reared and educated. Subsequently he was employed in various mills in different sec tions of the state. He came to McKeesport in 1879, and entered the employ of the National Tube-works company, where he has since been engaged, having held his present position since 1881. He is a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Heptasophs; he is a stanch advocate of prohibition.
