CHARLES PERCIVAL, merchant, West Elizabeth, son of Erastus and Sarah Percival, was born in West Elizabeth in 1854. His father was a native of Vermont and his mother of Washington county, Pa., her parents having removed from New Jersey. Our subject lived with his mother until his marriage, in 1879, with Catherine L., daughter of J. P. Wylie, of Jefferson township. He then became actively engaged in business in the borough of West Elizabeth, as a dealer in general merchandise, which he still continues. He has from time to time held various official positions, and at present is a member of the council. Mr. and Mrs. Percival have three children: Eugene, Edna and Mildred.
