He has a fine and lucrative practice, and besides owns a large tract of land. His estate consists of 200 acres in one body, and about the same amount in another, near Canton. Soon after his medical studies were finished he married Catherine, a daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Threlkeld, a Welsh family. After his wife’s death he married her sister, Sarah A. Their children are Sue, William, John, Edward and Stonewall J. The Doctor is a Democrat, and a member of the Masonic lodge.
