St. Joseph, Missouri, Home of Jesse James, vintage postcard
A vintage postcard view of the Home of Jesse James, St. Joseph, Missouri. It was in this house that Jesse James was assassinated by fellow gang member, Robert Ford on April 3, 1882. This house still exists as the Jesse James Home Museum and is located at 12th and Mitchell behind the Patee House. An enlarged bullet hole in the wall shows where the fatal bullet landed after killing James. This postcard view was postmarked in 1909.
