Cape Girardeau, Missouri Main Street Vintage Postcards
A vintage postcard view of Main Street, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Numerous business buildings line both sides of the dirt street. This postcard was published by Crew Bros., St Charles Hotel Pharmacy and is postmarked 1907. Signs at right read "Boston Painless" (probably a dentist); "Cape Plumbing Heating Shop"; and "Restaurant Oyster Cafe."
This postcard is of about the same portion of Main Street, Cape Girardeau, Missouri as the previous postcard view. The large gray building at the left is the same building as the red building pictured in the previous photo. The building on the right with the balcony is also the same. The sign on the sidewalk reads "Ladies and Gents Shine 5 cents." This postcard is postmarked 1912.
Cape Girardeau is the county seat of Cape Girardeau County, Missouri.
