The tombstone and grave of Abraham Lincoln, located within the Lincoln Tomb and Monument, Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, Illinois. Due to earlier attempts to steal the body of Lincoln, his casket and remains were encased in concrete about ten feet below the tombstone. The Lincoln tombstone is a solid block of granite weighing seven tons. See the additional photos of the Lincoln Tomb and Monument below.

A vintage postcard view of the monument and tomb of Abraham Lincoln, Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, Illinois. Lincoln's wife, Mary Todd Lincoln, and three of their four sons are also buried within this tomb. (The oldest son, Robert Todd Lincoln is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C.) The Lincoln Tomb and Monument has been designated as a National Historical Monument. This postcard view is from before 1908. See the additional photos below.
