Founded in 1902, Goldfield was gold mining boom town. In its first decade, Goldfield had a population of about 20,000 making it one of the largest towns in Nevada. By the 2010 census, the population had dropped to only 268.

This photo is dated 1907, when Goldfield was about five years old.
