The family tombstone of the Chapin family, in Palmer Center Cemetery, Palmer, Massachusetts. This tombstone records the deaths of four Chapin family members with a sculpted representation of each at the top of the tombstone. The inscription reads as follows:

"In Memory of
Mr. Jonathan Chapin who died
July 3d, 1780 in the 70th year of
his age.
Mrs. Ann, his wife died May 27th
1770 in the 55th year of her age.
Miss Ann, their daughter died
August 5, 1756 in the 20th year
of her age.
Mr. Luke Chapin died at Mount
Independence, Sep 1776 in the
37th year of his age."

Luke Chapin died while serving as a soldier in the Revolutionary War.
