An historic photo view of Whitehall Street, looking north, Atlanta, Georgia just after the fall of Atlanta which occurred on September 2, 1864 during William Sherman's March to the Sea. Note the long line of covered wagons which are Federal Army supply wagons. This is most likely a photo of Sherman's troops departing Atlanta on November 15, 1864.
