H. Fuller, farmer and citizen of the Sixth District, was born in Wake County, N. C., in 1811, and was one of ten children, three still living. His parents were Ozbern and Mary Fuller. His father was born in North Carolina, in 1776, was married and lived there until 1834, when he moved to Dyer County, where he died in 1846. His mother was born in North Carolina, and was about five years younger than her husband, and died in 1866. Our subject, Mr. H. Fuller, was raised and educated at home. In 1836 he married Nancy, daughter of Aaron and Elizabeth Green. Mrs. Fuller was born in North Carolina, in 1817, and by their marriage they had nine children, seven of whom are living: Eliza A., wife of J. W. Enochs; Mary S. (deceased), wife of J. C. Van; G. R.; Sarah, widow of G. W. Hill; J. T.; W. A.; Millard (deceased); Emma H.; Lucy; Nannie L., and Mattie (deceased). Mr. Fuller came to Tennessee in 1832, spent two years in Gibson County, then located on the farm where he now lives, one mile southwest of Newbern. Mr. Fuller in politics is a Democrat, casting his first presidential vote for William H. Harrison, and with Mrs. Fuller belongs to the Missionary Baptist Church. He has taken great care to give his children good advantages, and is always active in any enterprise tending to the progress of Newbern or Dyer County.
