Below is a family biography included in the History of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania published in 1889 by A. Mrs. Louisa Wallace, retired, post office Elkhorn, daughter of William and Ann (Jamison) Patrick, was born in Maryland, and married to Lewis Wallace in 1850. He was a merchant in Baltimore, of which city he was also a native. He purchased the present homestead, and about twenty-five years since removed to Forward township, and was engaged in farming until his death, in September, 1886. His family consisted of William, John, Jean (now Mrs. Webster, who resides in Allegheny), Kate and Rachel, five in all, three of whom still live with their mother; the remaining brother has his home in Pittsburgh, where he is engaged in banking.
