JOHN R. ROMINE, civil engineer, McKeesport, is a native of New Jersey, where he was reared and educated. He began the study of his profession in 1870, and for fifteen years was actively engaged in railroad surveying in different parts of the United States. He located in McKeesport in 1885, and embarked in business with E. J. Taylor, under firm name of Taylor & Romine, civil and mining engineers; they are also city engineers. Mr. Romine is a member of the K. of H.; politically a democrat.
