JOHN I. LUNDMARK, proprietor of Hotel Gustave Adolph, McKeesport, was born in Sweden, June 2, 1840, a son of Lelius and Elizabeth Lundmark, and was reared in his native land, where he learned the carpentering and cabinet-making trades. Coming to America in 1870, he settled, in 1872, in McKeesport and opened a boarding-house, which he conducted seventeen years. In 1887 he built the hotel of which he is now proprietor, on Rose street, near Ninth avenue, a much-needed hostelry in that part of the city, opening it to the public in November of that year. In 1872 Mr. Lundmark married Erica Nelson, of Titusville, by whom he has one son, Frederick. Mr. Lundmark is a member of the G. L. Church, of the I. O. O. F. and A. O. H., and is a republican.
