JACOB SULLINGER, farmer, post office Elizabeth, is a son of John and Lavina (Judge) Sullinger, natives of York county, Pa., who settled in Little Sweetly, Westmoreland county. Their family consisted of sixteen children, all of whom are dead except Jacob, who was born in that place in 1811, and subsequently removed to this county. He is now living with his niece, Mary Sullinger, who is a daughter of Daniel and Mary (Wall) Sullinger. Daniel was born in Westmoreland county, and removed to Forward township. He was proprietor of a fulling-mill for several years, and afterward devoted his attention to farming. He reared a family of four children, and was a member of the Baptist Church.
