HUGH ANDERSON, farmer, post office Talley Cavey, is the second living son of Charles and Sarah (Thompson) Anderson, and was. born in 1839 on the homestead, which he now owns. In 1864 he enlisted in Co. I, 5th P. H. A., and served until the close of the war. He married, in 1869, Mattie, daughter of James and Elizabeth (Criswell) Plummer, of Richland township, and they have six children living: Sarah E., Charles P., Samuel J., Margaret J., Hugh R. and Ada M. Mr. Anderson is a member of the R. P. Church of Talley Cavey.
