F. HEINZ, manufacturer, Sharpsburg, was born in 1842, in Baiern, Germany, the son of Fred and Rosa (Schrader) Heinz, the former a farmer and wine grower of that country. In 1869 he came to America, and for some years was employed at gardening. After that he entered the employ of Heinz, Noble & Co., and in 1876 became a member of the firm of F. & J. Heinz. Mr. Heinz married, in 1878, Rebecca Seekawp, three children being the result of the union: Charles, Maggie and Bertha. Mr. Heinz also superintends the work on the farm near Sharpsburg. He and family are members of the G. L. Church. Politically he is a republican.
