C. C. TEETER, chief clerk for the Edgar Thomson Steel-works, Braddock, was born in Cambria county, Pa., in 1846, a son of Major Isaac Teeter, of Bedford county, Pa., a builder and contractor by occupation. He was reared and educated in Cambria county, and early in life commenced his business career in the capacity of clerk for the Cambria Iron company of Johnstown, Pa., where he remained until 1875, since when he has filled his present position. In 1862 Mr. Teeter enlisted in Capt. William Palmer’s independent company of “Silver Greys,” re-enlisted in Co. F, 21st P. C, and for two years and one day served with the company in all the engagements in which it was present, and was wounded in the side Dec. 27, 1863, at Harper’s Ferry, Va. Mr. Teeter is a F. & A. M., and a republican.
