J. W. TROXELL, saw-miller and lumber dealer; P. O. Greenville; born in Virginia, Sept. 5, 1838, where he remained with his parents till 1845, when they moved to Knightstown, Ind., where he remained until 1859 or 1860; at this date, he purchased a saw-mill, and moved it to Illinois, where he remained some two years; he then disposed of his mill and went to Indianapolis, where he worked at the carpenter’s trade, and in 1873 came to this county, where he has since continued to reside. On the 22d of December, 1873, he was united in marriage with Nancy M. Anderson; they are the parents of four children, of whom three are living, viz., Fannie B., Belle and Mamie; the deceased died in infancy.
