Below is a family biography included in The History of Brown County, Ohio published by W. H. Beers & Co. in 1883.  These biographies are valuable for genealogy research in discovering missing ancestors or filling in the details of a family tree. WILLIAM MOUNT, farmer, P. O. Five Mile; the subject of this sketch was born September 22, 1839, in Warren County, Ohio. His parents were John and Mary (deceased) Mount; they had five children, of whom three are yet living — William, Samuel and Nancy. They, after their marriage, lived in Warren County until her death in August, 1863. John Mount then married Nancy Goodridge, and is now living in Highland County. Our subject has from his youth up, devoted his attention to agricultural pursuits. In November, 1859, in Warren County, he married Eliza A. Krownover, by whom he had live children, three still living — Maria A., Wilson and Laura F. She died in September, 1867, and he again married, March 1, 1872, Mary J. Young, born in November, 1850, daughter of Duncan and Elizabeth Young. To them have been born five children, four living — Elizabeth, Sarah C., Cornelius and Leonard. In March, 1878, Mr. Mount moved from Highland County, where he resided ten years, to Brown County, and located in Green Township, where he now resides. He has served as Trustee of Green Township, and is the owner of 100 acres of good land.
