Willis Warner is a native of Russell County, Ky., born October 23, 1847, and is the son of Willis, Sr., and Martha (Vigels) Warner. In 1851 Willis Warner, Sr., came to Missouri and settled in DeKalb County, that State. From there he moved to Davis County, and later, in 1854, to Buchanan County, where he is living at the present time. Willis, Jr., was reared in the last named county, and there chose for his companion in life, Miss Lizzie Jackman, who is the daughter of Thomas M. Jackman. This union resulted in the birth of one son and one daughter, named as follows: John Allen and Mary Alice. Mr. Warner has 120 acres of fairly improved land, and is considered an honest, upright citizen. He and his family are liberal in their religious views, and attend churches of all denominations.
