Below is a family biography included in The History of Newton County, Missouri published by Goodspeed Publishing Company in 1888.  These biographies are valuable for genealogy research in discovering missing ancestors or filling in the details of a family tree. Harrison Robinson was born in Newton County, Mo., August 1, 1847, and is a son of Beverly Robinson, who was a Virginian by birth. The latter moved westward at an early day, locating first in Morgan County, Ill., and in 1838 came to Newton County. Mo. His wife’s maiden name was Sarah Taylor. She was born in the “Blue Grass State,” and became the mother of eleven children, Harrison being the youngest in the family. He was reared principally in his native county, but spent fifteen years in Jasper County. He was brought up to farm life, and has spent twelve years in the milling business. He has a good farm of 450 acres, all well improved, and he is considered one of the representative farmers of the county. He was married on November 26, 1869, to Margaret J. Gibson, who was born in Jasper County, Mo., and they have four children: Isaac T., William H., Albert W. and John B.
