WILLIAM T. GREEN, attorney and counselor at law, was born July 22, 1858, in Christian county, Illinois. His father, Leander Green, was a native of Kentucky, and is now a resident of Webb City, Missouri. His mother is still living, and is a native of Kentucky. William T. Green came to Jasper county with his father in 1866. He received his early education at Medoc, Carthage, and the State University. He studied law at Medoc, and was admitted to the bar in 1881. In the same year he came to Carthage, Missouri, where he has since practiced his profession. He formed a partnership with A. L. Thomas, under the firm name of Thomas & Green. Mr. Green is a rising young lawyer, and is rapidly taking a prominent place in the first rank of the Jasper county bar. He was married to Miss Clara P. Seely, March 4, 1880, a native of New Boston, Illinois. They have one child, Leander Roscoe. Mr. Green operated in real estate before settling in Carthage, with profit to himself and the improvement of the country.
