DR. W. W. RICHMOND was born April 7, 1846, in Hickman County, Ky. He is a son of William and Harriet T. (Woods) Richmond. The father was born in Tennessee, and died in 1848, aged thirty, the mother was born in Kentucky, and died in 1874, aged fifty-two. The doctor after completing his literary education, taught school one year, after which he worked out three years. In 1871 he commenced the study of medicine under the preceptorship of Dr. George Beeler, and graduated in March, 1874 at the University of Louisville. He then settled in Alexander, Fulton County, where he practiced his profession eight years. In 1882 he came to Clinton, where he has since practiced. He was married in May, 1879, to Lucy E. Marshall of Paducah; two children, both daughters blessed this union. They are members of the Missionary Baptist Church.
