ROBERT D. RENNICK, Hickman County, was born in Lynchburg, Va., July 8, 1836, and in 1843, came with his parents to Hickman County, Ky., where he still retains his residence. His father, Samuel F. Rennick, was born in Lincoln County, Ky., in 1798, and died at this place in 1859. He was the son of James Rennick, of South Carolina, a Revolutionary soldier. Samuel F. married Jane C., daughter of James Lindsay of Rockbridge County, Va. She was born in 1798 and died in 1877. The union was blessed with the following named offspring: James, George W., Samuel W., John F., Andrew T., and subject. Our subject was favored with a good English education, and is a man of considerable reading. In the late war he was a soldier in Forrest’s command. He is now engaged in farming, owning at the old family homestead, 170 acres of good land, which he is successfully cultivating.
