Below is a family biography from the book, History of Kentucky, Edition 1 by J. H. Battle, W. H. Perrin and G. C. Kniffin and published by F. A. Battey Publishing Company in 1885.  These biographies are valuable for genealogy research in discovering missing ancestors or filling in the details of a family tree. DAVID G. PARK was born January 31, 1855, in Graves County. He is a son of Noah and Margaret (McCain) Park. The father was born in North Carolina; the mother in Tennessee. David was reared on his father’s farm, and after attending a literary school took up the study of law under the preceptorship of W. W. Tice. In 1876 he went to Louisville University and graduated in the class of 1877; he then returned to Mayfield, and has since been engaged in the practice of his profession. Mr. Park was married May 23, 1878, to Miss Nellie Hanson of Mayfield; this union has been blessed with two children, Ruth and Margaret. Mr. Park is a member of the I. O. O. F., K. of H. and of the Baptist Church. Mrs. Park is a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
