WILLIAM J. HENDERSON was born January 1, 1848, on the place where he now resides, in Ballard County, Ky. His father, Thomas Henderson, a native of Caroline County, Va., died in 1871, aged about seventy-two years. Thomas’ widow, nee Martha Dillon, of Howard County, Va., was born in 1811 and is still living. Their offspring are: John K., Sallie F. (Bishop), Lucy A. (Petrie), Ellen (Penn), Josephine (Ousley), subject, Mary F. (Puckett), Franklin P. and Laura B. Subject in youth procured a good English education and is a reading man. On the 25th of December, 1882, he was married to Miss Callie A., daughter of Jacob N. and Mary T. (Adams) Bondurant, of Ballard County, and the result of this union has been the birth of one daughter, Martha Thomas. Our subject is a farmer having 256 acres of good land in fine condition and in a high state of cultivation. He is an active member of the Methodist Church, and in politics is identified with the Democratic party.
