WILLIAM H. HEATH was born June 29, 1842, in Crittenden County, Ky., and in 1849 was brought by his parents to Ballard County, where he still resides. His father, William D. Heath, a native of Georgia, was born in 1809, and is still living. He is the son of Hiland Heath, of North Carolina, a soldier in the war of 1812, who died about 1862, nearly eighty years of age. William D. married Eliza Husbands, who is still living. Their offspring are Josephine (Etherton and Tankersley), Miranda (Alcock), Andrew J., subject, Sarah A. (Smith), James G.; Robert R. and Lorenzo D. Subject obtained a fair education in youth, and is a constant reader of books and papers. He was married May 29, 1873, to Miss Mary J., daughter of Samuel and Nancy (Crenshaw) Senter, of Sumner County, Tenn. She was born July 2, 1848. This union has been blessed by the birth of two children, viz.: Susie and Drurie Jackson. Subject is a farmer owning 340 acres of good land in fine condition. He is a member of the A. F. & A. M. In religion he is a Methodist and in politics a Democrat.
