MULLANE, CORNELIUS, farmer, Sec: 5; P. O. Des Moines; is a native of Ireland, born in 1835, and came to America in 1852; he first lived in Ohio, and up to the time he came to this county, he had traveled over several different States; came to Des Moines in 1861, and lived there till he came to this county, in the fall of 1868; he was married in Des Moines to Miss Bridget King, a native of Ireland; they have a family of four children: Mary, Ellen, Julia, and William; his wife died May 26, 1876; he owns an improved farm of 200 acres; Mr. Mullane’s father, Patrick Mullane, was born in Ireland in the year 1802, and came to this country in 1844.
