CLAUS F. GEORGE, farmer and stock-raiser; P. O. Bloomington; was born in Germany; came to the United States with his father’s family in 1866; they settled in McLean Co., Ill., in the same year. His father is Mr. John George, of this township; he was married in Holstein, Germany, to Miss Christina Hermes, who was born in Germany; they have had eight children, two only of whom are living, viz., Claus F., the subject of this sketch, and Henry; deceased — Frederick, Annie, Nicholas, Lena, William and William Nicholas. The farm of Mr. George consists of 128 acres, valued at $7,000.
