MEISTER, JACOB, farmer, Sec. 29, P.O. Berdan, was born in Germany, May 13, 1840, and while quite young he emigrated to this country with his parents, and has since been a resident of the county, for about 31 years. In Jan. 23, 1877, he was married to Miss Louisa Schutz, born July 29, 1854, at Schutz’s Mill. They have had two children, one of whom is now living, Lena, born Oct. 5, 1878. Mr. Meister is now engaged in farming pursuits, is settled on the home farm, and hopes, by rigid economy and patient industry to acquire a competence for himself and family, and leave behind him a character worthy of the emulation of his posterity.
