LOOS, WILLIAM, farmer; Sec. 33; P. O. Quincy. The subject of this sketch was born on the farm he now owns and occupies, Oct. 25, 1852. He received his education in the schools of this county, and also of La Grange, Mo. He is the third son of Michael Loos, one of the early settlers of the township. He assisted his father in his farming operations up to the time of his death, which occurred in March, 1872. Mr. Loos owns 118 acres of land, which for fertility of soil and improvement, will compare favorably with any in the township. He is Democratic in politics and a member of the German Evangelical Lutheran church. He is Constable of the township, which office he has held for the past two years, and is one of the young, energetic and industrious citizens of the county, to whom it looks for a continuance of its present prosperity.
