NOAKES, T. V., Physician and Surgeon; P. O. La Prairie; was born in Breckenridge county, Ky., Nov. 22, 1849; came to this county in May, 1875; emigrated with his parents from Kentucky to Clark county, Ind., where he lived twenty years; thence to Adams county; commenced the study of medicine in Henryville, Ind., under Dr. W. E. Wisner, where he remained for two years. Then to Cincinnati School of Medicines and Surgery one year; thence back to Indiana one year, with Dr. Mason; thence to Louisville University, where he graduated in 1878; practiced one year at Otisco, Clark county, Ind.; then came to Adams county, where he has followed his profession since.
