DENHAM, MRS. SARAH, retired, residence northeast corner of 9th and Broadway; born in the city of New Haven, Conn. in 1808; married Mathias B. Denman in 1826; he was born in Philadelphia in 1803, where she moved in 1826; they located in Quincy in 1842. Mr. Denman opened an office for the sale of land, and was agent for many of the owners of land in the Military Tract, who resided east; Mr. CharlesAtwater, Mrs. Denman’s father, being one of the largest owners. Mr. Denman had retired from business several years before his death which occurred August 26, 1876, leaving his widow in affluent circumstances.
