GETZS, LEVI, miller; residence, Newtown; P. O. Adams; was born in Franklin county, Ohio, in 1836. His father moved to Newtown, Adams county, Illinois, in 1851. His business was that of a weaver. Levi is the second child of John and Harriet Getzs; was married in 1861 to Miss Irene Hancock, who was born in 1846. Have had four children: Isaac, William E., Annie E., and Josephine. Mr. G. took up the milling business on Mill Creek, one mile north of town, in 1863; moved his mill to Newtown in 1873. He makes an extra quality of flour, and has a large custom; owns a fine, large house, which, with the mill property, is estimated at $5,000.
