RICHARDS, JOHN WESLEY, farmer; Sec. 32; P. O. Marcelline; was born in Madison county, Ky., Oct. 10, 1825; came to this county Nov. 18, 1846; was married to Miss Martha A. Adair, July 1, 1847. She was born in Boone county, Mo., March 9, 1827. They have had six children, five of whom are living, two sons and three daughters. He owns 185 acres of land, the greater part of which is improved, abundantly stocked with fruit, and very valuable. He is Democratic in politics, and one of the energetic citizens of the county who are so conducive to its welfare, and to whom it looks for its present and future prosperity. He has been Constable of this township for twenty-two years; has also been Assessor, and held other offices of a local nature.
