WORKMAN, JOHN L., farmer; Sec. 19; P. O. Marcelline; was born in Davidson county, North Carolina, June 6, 1824; at an early age moved west with his parents, and in the spring of 1836 settled in Lima township. On March 11, 1869, he was married to Miss Martha S. Hines, a native of Wayne county, Ky. He owns 111, acres of very valuable land, well improved. He is Republican in politics; has been Supervisor of the township several terms, also Commissioner of Highways in Lima for a number of years, and is now one of the influential, enterprising farmers of the county.
