CRAIG, JOHN (deceased), born Aug. 10, 1872, in Kentucky; when a child he came with his parents to Indiana. In 1830 he came to Liberty township; married Agnes Farmer in 1836. She was born May 18, 1818, in Alabama. She came to Adams county with her father in 1835. They had twelve children, ten living: Milton, Sarah A., Chas. W., James H., Perleta J., John C., Jasial, Andrew J., Lucy E. and Malvina A. Milton enlisted in 1862 in the 78th Regt., Ill. Inf., and served to the end of the war. They own 440 acres of land. Mr. Craig died Aug. 28, 1877.
