WENZEL, J. P. (of J. P. W. & Co.) manufacturers of farm and spring wagons, 906 Maine street; residence, 63 North 12th street. He was born in Melrose township, Adams county, Oct. 7, 1830, and located in Quincy in 1858. He married Caroline W. Heilmann in 1863. She was born in Quincy. They have one child, Lydia A. Mrs. Wenzel died in 1867. He married Anne M. Pilger in 1860. She was born in Burlington, Iowa. They have four children: Amelia M., Laura M., John E. and Henry Albert. Are Methodists. He is Republican. Has been in business for himself fourteen years — horse-shoeing and general repairing.
