CLEAVELAND, GEO. W., farmer; Sec. 33; P. O. Quincy; was born in Boston, Mass., Feb. 16, 1828, and came to this county in the fall of 1834, with his parents; settled on the farm he now owns; was married to Mrs. Pauline Lynch in Feb. 1874. She was born in Brown county, Ill., March 4, 1847. They have one child, Clara B. He owns about eighty acres of land, stocked with fruit. He has been identified with the county’s prosperity ever since he has been a citizen of it. His father, John Cleveland, was the principal builder in Quincy during its younger days. George W. is a Greenbacker in politics, and a free thinker in religion.
