RIPPEL, CHRISTIAN, farmer; Sec. 19; P. O. Camp Point; was born in Germany in May, 1822; married Carolina Gerke. She was born in Germany in 1821; came to the United States in 1854, and to Adams county in 1859. Had nine children, six now living; the two oldest are married, the balance are living at home on the farm where they settled when they came to America. Held the office of Assessor of Concord township two years. Has 300 acres of land, for quality, as good as there is in the neighborhood, 150 under good cultivation, worth $7,000. Members of the Lutheran church. Politics, Democratic.
