BLASING, BERNARD, farmer; Sec. 12; P. O. Quincy; was born in Germany, Feb. 14, 1828; came to this country, with his parents, in 1845, and settled in this county; was married to Miss Mary G. Kroner in 1854. She was born in Germany, Jan. 11, 1837. They have ten children, five sons and five daughters. He owns fifty-three acres of land, in a high state of cultivation, well improved, abundantly supplied with fruit, and very valuable. He is Democratic in politics, and a member of the Roman Catholic church. He has been a valued citizen of the township ever since his settlement in it; is energetic and enterprising, and one of those to whom the county looks for a continuance of its present prosperity.
